Calvary Baptist is a family oriented church with a special attitude of love. We believe that true love from God is the distiguishing mark of  the individual believer in Christ and in the local congregation of believers. This love is the love that caused God to give His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ as a Sacrifice for our sins. This is the love that Christ has for His Church. This is the love that enters into each person who sincerely trusts in Christ as his Savior. This is the love we have for each other. This same love, which God has for the world, beckons to the sinner by the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit of Love that lives in us and that we want to communicate to all.

We worship every Sunday morning at 11:00. Our services include singing of traditional hymns, special songs, and songs of praise. We are not restricted to any style of music, but we do believe in Scriptural, orderly services. Our Sunday School starts at 10:00 AM, with classes for all ages. Nursery is available.

We support several missions, two Christian colleges, and the Sounding Out the Word Printing Ministry. We are an independent, local body of believers fellowshipping with the South Texas Missionary Baptist Association and the American Baptist Association. Our Articles of Faith may be found on the ABA website: www.abaptist.org.

Our doors are open to the public. We believe in doing the services of the church for the community. Weddings will be performed for a man and a woman who are willing to accept the beliefs of the church and counselling from the pastor. Funerals are conducted as a service to the community, but will allways reflect Christian beliefs and those beliefs alone.  

We believe in water Baptism by emersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the observance of the Lord's Supper by the members of the local church. These are the only two ordinances of the church.

Sunday School - 10:00 AM  

Sunday Worship: 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Mid-week Bible Study - Wednesday Night at 7:00

Vacation Bible School - For All Ages - In August (Call for time and date) 

Annual Christmas Candlelight Service - In December (Call for time and date)

We believe in the separation of Church and State, but we also believe that the Church should obey the laws that govern us as citizens of city, state, and nation, as long as those laws do not affect our allegience to God. We also believe that churches should pray for our leaders and aid in protecting our American liberty.
